The "19th International Symposium on Eco-Materials Processing and Design Expo on Environment-friendly Surface Engineering Technologies" is an international summit on eco-friendly and sustainable materials technologies, it is a premium forum for researchers, engineers and entrepreneurs to discuss the most recent innovation, trends, challenges and solutions adopted for greener technological solutions. The main participating countries are Japan, Korea, China, USA, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Canada, Singapore, Iran and Turkey, where more 300 experts are expected to participate. This event will bring together participants from academics and industrial sector to share their vision on materials and engineering technologies enabling minimization of the carbon footprint and maximization of resource efficiency. This meeting unites two internationally acclaimed and traditional events namely the International Symposium on Eco-Materials Processing and Design (ISEPD) and Expo on Environment-friendly Surface Engineering Technologies (EXPO) that will facilitate inter-sectoral cooperation.

The Conference Chair for the Symposium is held by Professor Sanjay Mathur . He is the Director of the Institute of Inorganic and Materials Chemistry at the University of Cologne, Cologne, Germany. His research interests focus on various facets of chemical nanotechnologies with thrust on molecular routes to functional nanostructures for diversified applications ranging from biocompatible materials, nanotoxicology studies, engineered surfaces and new materials and devices for energy applications. He serves as the “International Ambassador” of the University of Cologne.

This event will help incorporate several modern methods to reduce pollution. Japan is the most disciplined country to maintain highly eco-friendly environment. It would thus be a very good opportunity for Indian, Chinese and Korean Industries to learn from the experience of these countries and adopt some of the successful methodologies used to face the problems of large industrialistaion.

ISEPD 2018 is organized by Materials Alliance Cologne, Steinbeis Transfer Centre of the Steinbeis GmbH für Technologietransfer, Cologne, GERMANY
