Fellowships for young climate experts

With the International Climate Protection Fellowships, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation promotes prospective leaders from non-European transition and developing countries working in the field of climate protection. The fellows come to Germany for one year to conduct a research-related project of their own choice together with a host. They receive up to €2,650 per month plus benefits such as comprehensive family allowances, German tuition and a lump sum for travel expenses.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate clearly visible leadership potential and existing involvement with issues relating to the scientific, engineering, legal, economic, health-related or social aspects of climate change.

Up to 20 fellowships are granted annually, funded under the Federal Environment Ministry's International Climate Initiative. The closing date for applications is 1 March 2017. The fellowship will begin on 1 March 2018. For further information please visit: www.humboldt-foundation.de/ICF
